Name: Malorie Wooten

My name is Malorie Wooten, I am glad that I will be your 2nd grade teacher this school year. I am 43 years old, I have been married for 28 years to my wonderful husband, Anthony. We have three daughters, Hayli, Hannah, and Heather. My grandfather, my mother's father, was a Science teacher for many years. He loved being in the classroom and teaching children about Science.
I knew when I was young that I wanted to be a teacher. When I in 1st grade I would go home every evening and teach my younger sister named Melissa what we had learned at school that day. This helped her when she started to school to be one of the top students in her class. Life flew by and I got married and had children. When my daughter Hayli was in the fourth grade we decided to start home schooling her. This was a whole new experience for all of us, but we made it through. I was a home school mom for 21 years, and I would not trade those days for anything now. When my daughter Heather was a junior in High School, I started thinking about what I would do next. That was what lead back to school to finish my teaching degree. I knew that I would not be happy being at home with no one to teach. "Once a teacher, always a teacher!" I love children and I love teaching children. I believe that you are never to old to learn something new, and that knowledge will help you throughout your life time.
